Job Overview:
The Assessor Training Specialist will design and deliver a comprehensive training program for prospective Gender Seal assessors. This role involves developing training materials, facilitating sessions, and assessing participants' readiness to serve as assessors. The training will cover the Gender Seal criteria, assessment methodologies, and ethical standards, ensuring that participants can apply these concepts consistently and objectively. The specialist will work closely with the UN Women Jordan Country Office and the King Abdullah II Center for Excellence (KACE) to ensure the training aligns with national frameworks and supports the implementation of the Gender Seal. The position requires a strong understanding of gender equality, assessment methodologies, and the ability to provide constructive feedback to participants.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Preparatory Phase: Review Gender Seal criteria and related materials; develop a detailed training agenda; prepare training materials including case studies and exercises; design interactive activities to enhance skills; create evaluation tools for participant performance.
  • Implementation Phase: Deliver the training program, facilitate sessions on Gender Seal criteria and assessment processes, manage practical activities and simulations, assess participants individually, and provide feedback.
  • Reporting Phase: Prepare a final report summarizing the training outcomes, participant engagement, and readiness results; provide recommendations for selecting qualified assessors and identifying those needing further development.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree or equivalent in business, economics, social science, or related fields. A first-level university degree with additional qualifying experience may be accepted. Certification in assessment, institutional excellence, or related fields is an asset. Candidates should have a minimum of seven years of experience in gender equality, women's empowerment, or related fields, with desirable experience in facilitation and managing diverse groups. Knowledge of gender-responsive institutional programs and quality management frameworks is also beneficial.

Educational Background:
A Master's degree or equivalent in relevant fields is required. A first-level university degree combined with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree. Certification or professional training in assessment or related fields is advantageous.

Experience:
A minimum of seven years of relevant experience is required, particularly in gender equality, women's empowerment, and institutional excellence. Experience in managing assessments, facilitating training, and working with public-sector institutions is desirable. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to provide constructive feedback and assess participant performance effectively.

Languages:
Fluency in Arabic is required, along with a working knowledge of English. Proficiency in both languages is essential for effective communication and training delivery.

Additional Notes:
The assignment is primarily home-based, with some required presence at KACE and UN Women premises. The training program is scheduled for July 2026, and the consultant will need to prepare and deliver the training within this timeframe.
