Job Overview: The Global Culture Advisor position at WRI is a newly established role within the Centre of Excellence, aimed at enhancing the organizational culture and employee engagement across the globe. The advisor will report to the Global Director of Culture & DEI and will collaborate closely with HR teams in various country and regional offices, including Africa, Brazil, China, Colombia, Europe, India, Indonesia, Mexico, and the US. The primary objective of this role is to help WRI become the best-run NGO in the world by ensuring that every employee has a positive experience and can perform their best work in alignment with the organization's mission. The advisor will be responsible for designing and implementing strategies that foster a healthy organizational culture and improve employee wellbeing, ensuring that these strategies are inclusive and relevant across different regions. This role presents a unique opportunity to build something meaningful and impactful within the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Global Culture Advisor will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including:
Engagement (35%): Partnering with Country HR teams and Country Directors to ensure a globally aligned yet locally relevant approach to culture implementation. Facilitating organization-wide dialogues and forums to deepen understanding and shared ownership of WRI’s values and behaviors. Supporting the design and delivery of leadership engagement approaches that enable leaders to adopt and demonstrate organizational values. Leading the Global Culture Ambassadors program to enable local ownership and feedback. Supporting wellbeing initiatives across the organization and partnering with external consultants for culture diagnostics.
Delivery (50%): Supporting the implementation of the global culture roadmap and annual priorities, defining how culture work unfolds over the coming years. Coordinating with HR Centers of Excellence to embed values and behaviors into various HR processes, including induction, onboarding, learning and leadership development, performance management, and career pathways. Developing practical tools and resources to support consistent implementation of culture initiatives across the global network. Monitoring and sustaining progress against culture priorities and organizational maturity.
Strategy (15%): Collaborating with the Global Director of Culture & DEI and People Team leadership to contribute to a multi-year culture strategy and roadmap. Defining what a healthy workplace culture looks like and outlining how it can be evaluated and tracked using the Culture Barometer.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, Social Sciences, Management, or related fields. They should have 6-8 years of relevant experience in culture transformation, organizational development, change management, or related fields. Experience in complex, high-matrixed multi-country organizations is essential, along with a proven track record of implementing DEI and culture initiatives in a global context. Candidates should also have experience working with senior leadership teams and developing and running surveys to capture data and insights.
Educational Background: A degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, Social Sciences, Management, or related fields is required for this position. This educational background provides the necessary foundation for understanding organizational dynamics and the principles of effective culture transformation.
Experience: The ideal candidate should have 6-8 years of relevant experience in culture transformation, organizational development, change management, or related fields. They should have experience working in complex, high-matrixed multi-country organizations and implementing DEI and culture initiatives across multiple countries. Additionally, experience in partnering with various internal and external stakeholders and working with cross-cultural complexities is crucial.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory for this position, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization. Proficiency in other languages is considered desirable and may enhance the candidate's ability to engage with diverse teams across different regions.
Additional Notes: The position is based in New Delhi, India, and the start date is as soon as possible. The salary range for this role is between INR 1,800,000 to 2,400,000 CTC per annum, commensurate with experience and skills.
