Job Overview: The ASP.NET Developer position is focused on supporting the implementation and delivery of the Financial ManagementInformation System (FMIS) project. The successful candidate will be responsible for high-quality business requirements documentation, solution design, and implementation activities. They will coordinate with stakeholders and technical teams, support testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and training activities, and ensure the delivery of project documentation and reporting. The role also involves supporting successful project deployment and stabilization, making it crucial for the overall success of the FMIS project.
Duties and Responsibilities: The specific outputs and tasks for the ASP.NET Developer include building and maintaining FMIS application modules using ASP.NET/.NET Core and related Microsoft technologies. The developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining modules related to organizational hierarchy, premises management, project management, dashboards, reporting, and GIS-related functionalities. They will also develop backend services, APIs, and integrations with both internal and external systems. Daily technical support and analysis of business/system requirements will be part of the role, along with conducting bug fixing, troubleshooting, optimization, and quality assurance activities. The developer will review code to ensure application security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security, performance, and compliance with UNRWA standards, support deployment, UAT, production releases, and post-go-live stabilization activities. Additionally, they will prepare technical documentation, deployment guides, and user manuals, deliver regular progress updates, and participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies while collaborating with project stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree from an accredited educational institution in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. They should have a minimum of 4 years of experience in web application development using ASP.NET/.NET Core and MS SQL Server. Experience in enterprise application development and implementation, developing APIs and integrations, and familiarity with ASP.NET MVC, .NET Framework/.NET Core, C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related technologies is essential. Candidates should also have experience with relational databases and SQL Server, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization. Familiarity with deployment environments and DevOps practices is desirable, and experience with GIS integrations and dashboards is considered an asset.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the technical aspects of the role and for effectively contributing to the FMIS project.

Additional Notes: The consultancy is based in UNRWA Headquarters in Amman, Jordan, with the possibility for remote consultancy in the fields of UNRWA operations. The selected candidate will receive a monthly remuneration of JOD 996.42 or its equivalent in USD for each fully completed month. The duration of the contract is 7 months, with the possibility of extension subject to the availability of funds, continuing need, and satisfactory performance. The role is part of the Digital Impact, Technology and Innovation Department (DITID) and reports to the software engineer while working under the overall supervision of the Head Software Development Section and Lead Solution Architecture.
