Job Overview:
As an IT Administrator at Save the Children Canada, you will be a crucial part of the IT department, responsible for maintaining the reliability, security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security, and performance of the organization's technology infrastructure. This role involves overseeing day-to-day IT operations, monitoring systems for cybersecurity threats, and ensuring that the IT services align with the organization's goals and objectives. You will report directly to the Lead IT and will be expected to demonstrate significant technical expertise, leadership skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The position requires a hands-on approach to managing IT infrastructure, cloud services, and cybersecurity measures, ensuring that the organization remains resilient against potential threats and disruptions.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the IT Administrator include, but are not limited to: Infrastructure Management (45%): Overseeing network configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance; managing Active Directory services, including user account management and DNS; implementing security best practices to protect directory services; evaluating hardware and software requirements; forecasting future infrastructure needs; and managing vendor relationships. Cloud Infrastructure Management (25%): Similar responsibilities as infrastructure management, with a focus on cloud services. Cyber Security Management (15%): Managing secure messaging parameters, endpoint detection and response, and developing data loss prevention policies; ensuring compliance with cybersecurity regulations; and maintaining incident response and disaster recovery plans. Monitoring Mitigation and Continuity (15%): Developing business continuity and disaster recovery plans; monitoring project progress; and providing technical guidance to the IT team.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess relevant experience in IT, with a focus on Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience. A minimum of 2 years in a similar position is required. Certifications such as ITIL 4 Foundation, Microsoft cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate), CCNA or Cisco Meraki certifications, and cybersecurity certifications are considered assets. Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and time management skills are essential for success in this role.

Educational Background:
A degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience in IT. Relevant certifications in IT service management, cloud services, and cybersecurity are advantageous and may enhance a candidate's qualifications for the position.

Experience:
The position requires at least 2 years of experience in a similar IT role, demonstrating a proven ability to align IT initiatives with business objectives and manage resources effectively. Candidates should have experience in infrastructure management, cloud services, and cybersecurity practices, along with a track record of successful project management.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset, enhancing communication with diverse stakeholders and clients.

This position offers a salary range of CAD 63,323.32 - CAD 80,295.12, depending on skills and experience.
