Job Overview:
The Associate Senior Service Management Officer will play a pivotal role in the World Bank Group's efforts to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery through the integration of Agentic AI and Hyperautomation. This position requires a strategic leader who will work closely with various teams, including business, product, architecture, engineering, and platform teams, to identify opportunities for AI-powered automation. The successful candidate will be responsible for influencing strategic direction, shaping technology and investment decisions, and fostering enterprise adoption of AI and automation initiatives. This role demands a combination of technology expertise, strategic thinking, and stakeholder engagement to translate emerging capabilities into measurable business outcomes, thereby driving digital transformation within the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership & Portfolio Management: Serve as a strategic advisor on Agentic AI and Hyperautomation opportunities, shaping priorities and investment decisions. Identify and prioritize opportunities for operational and business value through Agentic AI. Develop business cases and monitor market developments.
  • AI Orchestration & Hyperautomation Enablement: Promote a cohesive approach to Agentic AI across platforms and business domains. Partner with teams to develop scalable patterns and reusable capabilities. Influence the design of solutions that combine AI and workflow automation.
  • Governance, Risk & Responsible AI: Support the development of governance frameworks for Agentic AI. Ensure solutions align with institutional policies and promote responsible AI practices.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Organizational Influence: Build relationships across ITS and business stakeholders to promote AI adoption. Communicate opportunities and risks to senior leaders.
  • Innovation, Platform & Vendor Strategy: Lead assessments of emerging technologies and provide recommendations on platform capabilities. Engage with vendors to understand innovation trends.
  • Delivery Oversight & Value Realization: Provide oversight across AI initiatives, establishing measures to track adoption and business value. Identify barriers to adoption and support successful implementation.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is acceptable. Candidates should have demonstrated experience leading enterprise AI and automation initiatives, developing technology strategies, and engaging with senior leadership. A strong understanding of Agentic AI, intelligent automation, and enterprise technology ecosystems is essential, along with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence decision-making across diverse stakeholder groups.

Educational Background:
The position requires a Master's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or Business Administration. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience. The educational background should reflect a strong foundation in technology and management principles, equipping candidates with the necessary skills to navigate complex organizational environments.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience in leading or advising on enterprise AI, intelligent automation, or digital transformation initiatives. Experience in developing technology strategies and operating models within complex organizations is crucial. The ability to engage with senior leadership and develop business cases is also required, along with a proven track record of delivering measurable business outcomes through technology initiatives.
