Job Overview:
The Product Manager position within the World Bank Group's Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) Vice Presidential Unit (VPU) is crucial for achieving the organization's mission of ending extreme poverty and boosting shared prosperity. The role focuses on leading business engagement and product strategy for the Geospatial Solutions portfolio. The Product Manager will work closely with operational stakeholders, Country Management Units, Global Practices, regional teams, and technology partners to identify opportunities and ensure that geospatial investments deliver measurable operational impact. This position requires a passion for geospatial technologies and a commitment to maximizing business value through effective technology delivery. The Product Manager will connect development and operational needs with innovative geospatial capabilities while ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and technology strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Product Manager will lead the product portfolio for Geospatial Solutions, collaborating with agile teams and various stakeholders to identify high-value opportunities for geospatial solutions that can enhance development outcomes, operational efficiency, decision-making, and project delivery. Responsibilities include defining and communicating a clear product vision and roadmap, building strategic relationships across the World Bank Group and with external partners, promoting the use of geospatial intelligence, providing leadership across agile teams, facilitating stakeholder engagement, designing governance structures for geospatial products, overseeing vendor relationships, evaluating strategic investments, monitoring product-level financials, leading cross-functional initiatives, and representing the Geospatial Solutions portfolio in strategic discussions.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with at least 8 years of relevant professional experience, or a bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience in geospatial technologies, spatial analytics, remote sensing, and geospatial data management is essential. A strong understanding of geospatial products and the ability to translate geospatial capabilities into practical solutions is required. Proven experience engaging with business stakeholders and operational teams to define vision and prioritize investments is also necessary. Familiarity with Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) and international development organizations is highly desirable.

Educational Background:
A Master's degree in a STEM discipline is preferred, although a bachelor's degree with significant relevant experience may also be acceptable. The educational background should ideally include coursework or training in geospatial technologies, spatial analytics, and related fields that support the application of location intelligence in solving complex business and operational challenges.

Experience:
The position requires at least 8 years of relevant professional experience for candidates with a Master's degree, or at least 10 years for those with a bachelor's degree. Experience should include a strong background in geospatial technologies, spatial analytics, and the application of location intelligence in various operational contexts. Familiarity with the operational processes of Multilateral Development Banks and international development organizations is also beneficial.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory, with excellent written and verbal communication skills suitable for global, multicultural collaboration. While English is the primary language required, knowledge of additional languages may be considered a plus, particularly in contexts where the World Bank operates in multilingual environments.
