Job Overview:
The position of UN ASP.NET Developer involves supporting the implementation and delivery of the Financial Management Information System (FMIS) project. The successful candidate will be responsible for high-quality business requirements documentation, solution design, and implementation activities. They will coordinate with stakeholders and technical teams, support testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and training activities, and ensure the delivery of project documentation and reporting. The role also includes supporting successful project deployment and stabilization, with the possibility of remote consultancy in UNRWA's fields of operations. The expected duration of the consultancy is 7 months, during which the developer will build and maintain FMIS application modules using ASP.NET/.NET Core and related Microsoft technologies, ensuring that the applications meet the required standards and performance metrics.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the UN ASP.NET Developer include but are not limited to: building and maintaining FMIS application modules using ASP.NET/.NET Core; developing and maintaining organizational hierarchy, premises management, projects management, dashboards, reporting, and GIS-related modules; developing backend services, APIs, and integrations with internal and external systems; providing daily technical support and analyzing business/system requirements; conducting bug fixing, troubleshooting, optimization, and quality assurance activities; reviewing code to ensure application security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security, performance, and compliance with UNRWA standards; supporting deployment, UAT, production releases, and post-go-live stabilization activities; preparing technical documentation, deployment guides, and user manuals; delivering regular progress updates and backlog tracking reports; and participating in Agile/Scrum ceremonies while collaborating with project stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for the UN ASP.NET Developer position include a university degree from an accredited educational institution in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of experience in web application development using ASP.NET/.NET Core and MS SQL Server. Additionally, experience in enterprise application development and implementation, developing APIs and integrations, and familiarity with ASP.NET MVC, .NET Framework/.NET Core, C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related technologies is essential. Candidates should also have experience with relational databases and SQL Server, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization. Familiarity with deployment environments and DevOps practices is desirable, and experience with GIS integrations and dashboards is considered an asset.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a university degree from an accredited educational institution in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. This educational background is crucial as it provides the foundational knowledge and skills necessary for the technical demands of the position.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in web application development, specifically using ASP.NET/.NET Core and MS SQL Server. Candidates should have a strong background in enterprise application development and implementation, as well as experience in developing APIs and integrations. The role demands proficiency in various programming languages and technologies, including ASP.NET MVC, .NET Framework/.NET Core, C#, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, along with experience in troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization.

Languages:
Fluency in both Arabic and English is required for this position, as these are the working languages of UNRWA. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively in both languages to fulfill the responsibilities of the role and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
The consultancy is based in UNRWA HQA Amman, with the possibility for remote consultancy in the fields of UNRWA operations. The selected candidate will receive a monthly remuneration of JOD 996.42 or its equivalent in USD for each fully completed month. The duration of the contract is 7 months, with the possibility of extension subject to the availability of funds, continuing need, and satisfactory performance. The role is part of the Digital Impact, Technology and Innovation Department (DITID) and reports to the software engineer, working under the overall supervision of the Head Software Development Section and Lead Solution Architecture.
