Job Overview:
The UN Visualization Consultant will play a crucial role in supporting Jordan's Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation (MoPIC) in the design and finalization of the country's Third Voluntary National Review (VNR) for 202

• This position involves creating a comprehensive visual representation of the VNR report, which is essential for effectively communicating Jordan's progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The consultant will be responsible for ensuring that the visual materials align with the guidelines set by MoPIC and meet the expectations of the Resident Coordinator's Office (RCO). The consultant will work closely with both teams to ensure that the final deliverables are of high quality and effectively convey the necessary information.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The consultant will undertake several key responsibilities, including:

• Designing the overall visual layout and structure of the VNR report in Arabic, ensuring it is consistent with the English version and adheres to the guidelines provided by MoPIC.
• Developing various visual assets such as infographics, charts, graphs, maps, and other data visualization tools to present complex data in an accessible manner.
• Submitting drafts of the visual materials for review and approval by the RCO and MoPIC teams, incorporating their feedback into the final designs.
• Organizing and maintaining all design files related to the VNR, ensuring that visuals, templates, and assets are easily accessible for future reference.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather necessary data and insights for effective visualization.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Sustainable Development, Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, International Relations, or a related field. Additionally, they must have at least 10 years of experience in graphic design, data visualization, or a related field. Proficiency in Adobe software applications, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, is required. A strong knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is also necessary. Candidates should have a good understanding of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Familiarity with the preparation process of VNRs and previous experience working with government institutions and international organizations are desirable.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Sustainable Development, Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, or International Relations is mandatory. Candidates must provide a copy of their educational degree as part of their application, as incomplete applications will not be considered.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in graphic design, data visualization, or a related field. Languages:
Fluency in both English and Arabic is required for this position. Fluency is defined as a rating of 'fluent' in all four areas: speaking, reading, writing, and understanding. Additionally, knowledge of French is considered beneficial, as English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
