Job Overview:
The Supply Chain Specialist position at WJCF is crucial for supporting the malaria division of the National Centre for Vector Borne Disease Control (NCVBDC). The role involves managing the supply chain of essential malaria commodities, such as anti-malarials and insecticides, and requires a candidate with experience in supply chain management. The specialist will work closely with NCVBDC staff and report to the TSU team lead, focusing on improving visibility and efficiency in the supply chain processes. The position demands a self-motivated individual who can thrive in challenging environments and is willing to travel within India frequently.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including: supporting the malaria division in procurement and supply chain management of malaria commodities; designing tools and processes to enhance visibility of these commodities; utilizing the Drugs and Vaccine Distribution Management System (DVDMS) for stock management; assessing and addressing gaps in the supply chain; evaluating procurement methodologies; collating best practices for supply chain management; establishing collaborative relationships with NCVBDC staff and partner organizations; and working with stakeholders to identify and bridge supply chain gaps. The role requires a willingness to travel within India, with an expected travel commitment of 30-50%.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree, with at least 3 years of relevant work experience, or a post-graduate degree with at least 2 years of experience. Preferred degrees include public health, business administration, or public administration. Experience in public health supply chain management, private sector supply chains, or consulting is essential. Strong interpersonal skills, entrepreneurial spirit, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks under pressure are also required.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as public health, business administration, or public administration is required. Candidates with advanced degrees or specialized training in supply chain management will be preferred, especially those with experience in public health or related sectors.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience for candidates with a Bachelor's degree or 2 years for those with a post-graduate degree. Relevant experience in supply chain management, particularly in public health or fast-moving consumer goods, is essential. Experience in a consulting firm with a focus on supply chain issues is also valuable.

Languages:
Candidates must have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Hindi. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset but is not mandatory.
