Job Overview:
The Community Engagement and Accountability (CEA) Coordinator will be instrumental in developing and implementing a CEA roadmap that integrates community engagement across all programs, support functions, and partner-implemented activities. This role is crucial for ensuring that NRC's programs are safe, participatory, accountable, and dignified for affected communities. The CEA Coordinator will work closely with various teams within the Country Office, including management, program, area office, and field teams, to ensure that community engagement and accountability are prioritized in all aspects of NRC's work. The position requires a proactive approach to capacity strengthening and mentoring of NRC staff and partners on CEA and Safe and Inclusive Programming (SIP).

Duties and Responsibilities:
The CEA Coordinator will have a range of responsibilities, including ensuring compliance with NRC policies and procedures, as well as CEA and SIP standards. They will manage tasks independently, prepare reports, and maintain proper documentation. Specific responsibilities include finalizing the CEA baseline, leading the development of a country-level CEA roadmap, monitoring progress against the roadmap and SIP action plan, facilitating community engagement activities, conducting field monitoring visits, developing CEA tools and guidance, and liaising with local and national authorities. The coordinator will also contribute to donor proposals and reports, ensuring that CEA and SIP commitments are integrated into all aspects of NRC's work.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have 2-3 years of experience working within a non-governmental organization (NGO) or civil society organization, along with a relevant university degree in social sciences, development studies, or a related field. Experience in delivering training, facilitating sessions, and strengthening capacity for diverse audiences is essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to build trust and collaborate effectively across teams and with external stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is also necessary.

Educational Background:
A relevant university degree in social sciences, development studies, or a related field is required for this position. This educational background will provide the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to effectively engage with communities and implement accountability measures.

Experience:
Candidates should have 2-3 years of relevant experience in the humanitarian or development sector, particularly in roles that involve community engagement and accountability. Experience in social or humanitarian projects that emphasize meaningful community engagement is highly desirable, as is experience in training and capacity building.

Languages:
Fluency in both English and Ukrainian is mandatory, with proficiency in spoken, reading, and writing skills. This bilingual capability is essential for effective communication with diverse stakeholders and communities. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not mandatory.

This position is open only to candidates who have the legal right to work in Ukraine, and the organization is unable to provide work permits or visa sponsorships.
