Job Overview:
The Business Development, Partnership and Reporting (BDPR) Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director and the Director of Programs in leading strategic positioning and fundraising initiatives for Mercy Corps in DRC. This position involves the development of new initiatives aligned with the organization's programmatic strategy, managing partnerships, ensuring donor compliance, and overseeing quality reporting for all active and future programs. The BDPR Manager will interact with various stakeholders, including senior management, program leadership, field teams, and external partners, to ensure a holistic approach to program development. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate ambitious proposals while responding to the challenges and opportunities in the field.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The BDPR Manager will be responsible for several key areas, including partnership development, new business development, strategy and communication, reporting, program performance, and global brand positioning. Specific duties include mapping existing and potential partners, building strategic relationships with stakeholders and donors, leading proposal development processes, ensuring compliance with organizational standards, overseeing reporting workflows, and maintaining effective communication with headquarters and regional staff. The manager will also support the development of external strategic communication materials and represent Mercy Corps in external coordination forums. Additionally, the role involves ensuring adherence to security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security procedures and fostering a culture of accountability within the organization.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a BA degree in a relevant field, with an MA preferred. They should have 2-5 years of experience in roles with significant new business responsibility, demonstrating strengths in program or portfolio management, proposal development, and donor reporting. Familiarity with US and EU donors, as well as institutional donor regulations, is preferred. Excellent planning, management, and coordination skills are essential, along with experience in staff management and capacity building. Candidates should also have demonstrated experience working in multicultural and high-stress environments.

Educational Background:
A BA degree in a relevant field is required, with a preference for candidates holding an MA. The educational background should align with the responsibilities of the position, emphasizing skills in business development, partnership management, and program oversight.

Experience:
The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience, particularly in roles that involve new business development, donor engagement, and program management. Candidates should have a proven track record of successfully managing proposals and partnerships, as well as experience in a multi-cultural context, ideally within the DRC or similar environments.

Languages:
Fluency in English and French is mandatory, with excellent writing and editing skills required in both languages. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset but is not mandatory for this position.

The position is based in Kinshasa, with housing provided under housing allowance regulations. The role may require travel to field offices and implementation sites, which could include areas with limited amenities and security challenges.
