Since August 2023, SI has maintained a permanent presence in Northern Togo and Northern Benin, implementing interventions for displaced populations, refugees, and host communities. Job Overview: The LogisticsCoordinator will lead the logistical activities of the merged mission (GGI & NER) to ensure the smooth running of Solidarités International's programs in both countries. This role involves establishing and ensuring compliance with logistical procedures and tools, participating in defining the strategic direction for the merged mission, and enhancing the logistical capacity of staff. The coordinator will also support the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director in operational functioning and act as the liaison between headquarters and the mission regarding logistics-related matters. The position requires adaptability to the evolving security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security context and the ability to manage logistics across multiple projects effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the implementation of logistical procedures and tools for the merged mission.
Ensure compliance with Solidarités International's logistical standards and ethics.
Train and support logistical staff in all logistics-related processes and procedures.
Collaborate with program teams to facilitate the procurement and delivery of necessary equipment for project implementation.
Conduct regular meetings with logistical teams to assess progress and address challenges.
Manage inventory and ensure proper documentation and archiving of logistical operations.
Develop and implement training sessions for suppliers on code of conduct and PSEA procedures.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of logistical operations and propose improvements.
Ensure the safety and security of logistical operations in compliance with local regulations and organizational policies.
Required Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of humanitarian logistics procedures and tools.
Proven ability to manage logistics across multiple emergency projects.
Strong understanding of donor accountability and compliance requirements.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
Proficiency in logistics software and tools (LINK, KOSTANGO, FINSCAN).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience in budget management and financial planning.
Educational Background: A minimum of a Bac + 4/5 in Humanitarian Logistics or a related field is required for this position. Candidates should have a solid academic background that supports their understanding of logistics in humanitarian contexts.
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position within the humanitarian sector. Experience in logistics management for emergency response projects is highly desirable, with a focus on coordinating logistics across multiple projects.
Languages: Fluency in French (spoken and written) is mandatory. Knowledge of local languages and English is considered an asset, enhancing communication with local partners and stakeholders.
Additional Notes: The position is based in Lomé, with frequent travel to Northern Benin and Northern Togo, subject to administrative authorization. The role is a short-term contract, with a salary starting from EUR 2860 gross per month, plus a monthly per diem of 460,000 FCFA (approximately 700 euros). Solidarités International covers housing and travel expenses between the expatriate's home country and the duty station. The organization provides a comprehensive health insurance plan covering medical expenses, including dental and optical care, and ensures safety measures for expatriates. The working conditions include a system of alternating work and leave, with breaks every three months.
