Job Overview:
The Finance Business Support Assistant position at WFP in Lomé, Togo, is a critical role that supports the financial operations of the organization. The assistant will work under the supervision of the Finance Officer and will be responsible for various financial tasks that ensure the smooth functioning of financial processes. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Finance Business Support Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
  • Processing various accounting transactions while ensuring adherence to the separation of duties in support of associated finance procedures.
  • Handling daily processing of all accounting documents submitted to the finance department.
  • Maintaining accurate accounting records and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Participating in the preparation of budgets and annual work plans in consultation with team members.
  • Assisting in conducting inventories and ensuring proper classification and archiving of financial documents according to predefined principles.
  • Reviewing expenditures made by project beneficiaries before any financial resource replenishment.
  • Contributing to the establishment of administrative, financial, and accounting management tools.
  • Producing and providing financial information as required.
  • Regularly contributing to the production of financial reports in the prescribed format. 1
  • Verifying the compliance of invoices and receipts through reconciliation with purchase orders, delivery notes, and reception reports. 1
  • Conducting an annual physical inventory of fixed assets and performing reconciliations. 1
  • Performing any other tasks related to the mission as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a secondary school diploma, along with a post-secondary certificate in Accounting Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A strong understanding of general accounting principles, financial management, and administrative processes is essential. Candidates should also demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software, as well as the ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet strict deadlines are crucial for success in this role. Educational Background:
