Job Overview:
The position of Interpreter is crucial for ensuring effective communication during the Thailand–UNIDIR Workshop. The successful candidate will provide high-quality interpretation services that facilitate the participation of all stakeholders involved in discussions related to technical, legal, and policy matters. The workshop aims to enhance Thailand's national capacity to address malicious ICT activities in accordance with law" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">international law and the UN Framework of Responsible State Behaviour in Cyberspace. The interpreter will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely interpretation throughout the three-day event, ensuring that all participants can engage fully in the discussions and activities planned.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of UNIDIR and in coordination with workshop organizers, the interpreter will be tasked with the following duties: • Provide simultaneous and/or consecutive interpretation between English and Thai as required throughout the workshop; • Ensure accurate interpretation of technical terminology related to ICT, cybersecurity, digital forensics, and attribution processes; • Interpret legal and policy discussions, including references to international law, UN frameworks, and national legal frameworks; • Support interpretation during expert briefings, group discussions, exercises, and scenario-based simulations of inter-agency decision-making; • Maintain strict confidentiality of all discussions, given the sensitive and government-only nature of the workshop; • Collaborate with organizers and subject-matter experts to familiarize themselves with workshop materials in advance to ensure effective interpretation.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess extensive experience in drafting a variety of written outputs, including reports, minutes, and summary records. Prior experience working with the United Nations is highly desirable, as it demonstrates familiarity with the organization's protocols and standards. The candidate should also have a strong understanding of the technical and legal aspects of the discussions that will take place during the workshop, particularly in relation to ICT and cybersecurity.

Educational Background:
