Interns will be directly involved in the work of the ILO, contributing to the application of its principles, programs, and strategies. This internship is designed for individuals who are currently pursuing or have recently completed a graduate degree in fields such as political science, law, or social sciences. Interns will not only learn about the ILO's mandate but also engage with specialists in technical cooperation, policy support, and capacity building. The internship is structured to provide insights into the functioning of international organizations, particularly in a region experiencing significant political, economic, and social changes. Interns will have the chance to improve their writing skills, familiarize themselves with administrative procedures, and work in a multicultural environment, all while participating in regular staff meetings and training courses.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will be expected to assist in various tasks related to the ILO/Korea Partnership Programme (I-KORP), which focuses on promoting decent work and social justice in the Asia-Pacific region. Responsibilities may include conducting research, supporting the development of technical cooperation projects, assisting in policy dialogue, and participating in capacity-building workshops. Interns will also be involved in drafting reports, preparing presentations, and engaging with ILO field staff and stakeholders. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to contribute to the execution of development cooperation projects and gain insights into the ILO's strategies for addressing emerging labor issues.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must meet specific criteria to be eligible for the internship. They should not have any close relatives serving in the ILO and must be applying for their first internship with the organization. A strong interest in international labor issues and a commitment to the ILO's mission are essential. Interns should demonstrate adaptability to a multicultural environment, possess good communication skills, and be able to work effectively in a team setting. Proficiency in basic computer software, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, is also required, along with the ability to utilize AI tools for analytical purposes.

Educational Background:
Applicants should be currently enrolled in their final year of a graduate degree program in political science, law, social sciences, or related fields. Alternatively, candidates who have completed their graduate degree within the last year are also eligible to apply. This educational background is crucial as it aligns with the ILO's focus on labor relations, public policy, and social protection, which are key areas of the internship.

Experience:
While prior experience is not mandatory, any exposure to technical fields such as labor relations, public policy, skills development, or social protection will be considered an advantage. Languages:
