Job Overview: The National Consultant - Partnerships and Resource Mobilisation Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting UNFPA Thailand's efforts to deepen and expand partnerships and resource mobilization initiatives. This position is essential for implementing the country office's strategic partnerships strategy, which aims to enhance collaboration with various stakeholders, including government entities, civil society organizations, the private sector, and international development partners. The consultant will be responsible for transforming UNFPA's approach from merely securing funding to fostering innovative financing solutions that align with the organization's goals. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying new partnership opportunities and maintaining existing relationships, ensuring that UNFPA's mandates are effectively promoted across Thailand. The consultant will also contribute to knowledge management and sharing within the organization, analyzing opportunities for advocacy and resource mobilization, and supporting the development of high-quality proposals and reports.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant will lead the implementation of the Partnerships Strategy, focusing on the development, execution, and monitoring of strategic partnerships in Thailand. Key responsibilities include enhancing UNFPA's strategic partnerships to support the achievement of the Three Zeros (ending unmet need for family planning, ending preventable maternal deaths, and ending gender-based violence). The consultant will identify and engage with potential partners, including donor countries, private sector entities, and civil society organizations, to secure both financial and in-kind contributions. Additionally, the consultant will support the preparation of concept notes, proposals, and donor reports, ensuring that all communications are of high quality and relevant to external audiences. The role also involves maintaining databases of donor profiles and opportunities, drafting partnership agreements, and creating marketing materials to attract resources. The consultant will analyze existing proposals and identify new funding opportunities, facilitating knowledge sharing within the country office and organizing sessions to discuss best practices in partnerships and resource mobilization.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Master's degree in social science, public health, international development, mass communication, economics, or a related field. A minimum of two years of professional experience in partnerships, resource mobilization, or policy advocacy is required. Extensive knowledge of UNFPA's core mandates, particularly in the context of Thailand, is essential. Additional Notes: The consultancy is expected to last from July 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026, with an estimated workload of 60 days. The consultant will be based at the UNFPA Thailand Country Office in Bangkok and will be required to travel to Chiang Mai and Khon Kaen provinces for two trips.
