The intern will work under the guidance of professional staff, contributing to the Centre's mission of facilitating knowledge exchanges and partnerships to tackle development challenges.
Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will assist in various duties, primarily focusing on communications and social media (60% of the role). This includes supporting the implementation of the Centre's Communications Strategy, producing web and social media content, creating digital/multimedia materials, drafting and translating content, and conducting technical reviews of the Centre's online presence. Additionally, the intern will support outreach efforts for public events and external relations (25% of the role), which involves organizing meetings, drafting press releases, and assisting with media outreach. The remaining 15% of the role includes cross-cutting tasks such as taking records of events, supporting onsite promotions, and maintaining relevant files and databases. The intern will also perform administrative tasks as necessary to ensure smooth office operations.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must meet specific educational requirements to apply for the internship. They should be enrolled in a postgraduate degree program, in the final year of a first university degree program, or have recently graduated with a university degree. Additionally, applicants must possess proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media tools, with creative design skills being an advantage.
