Job Overview: The Supply ChainCoordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of supply operations within the WHO framework. This position involves coordinating and monitoring all aspects of supply chain logistics, from incoming shipments to final delivery. The incumbent will be responsible for identifying and resolving bottlenecks in the supply chain, ensuring compliance with WHO standards, and maintaining communication with various stakeholders, including customs authorities and UN agencies. The role requires a proactive approach to managing supply movements in complex emergency environments, ensuring that health commodities are delivered efficiently and effectively to meet national health goals. The Supply Chain Coordinator will also contribute to the continuous improvement of logistics practices and support the implementation of innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities: The incumbent will perform a variety of duties, including but not limited to: coordinating and monitoring end-to-end supply operations; identifying and addressing bottlenecks or disruptions in the supply chain; leading the clearance and reception process for international shipments; verifying the quality and compliance of goods received; overseeing warehouse and inventory management systems; maintaining internal control mechanisms; planning and supervising storage and distribution operations; ensuring efficient handling of medical and non-medical commodities; coordinating access and operations within logistics platforms; monitoring loading and offloading activities; ensuring effective communication with internal and external stakeholders; managing supply movements across entry corridors; ensuring accountability and reporting on stock levels and supply movements; supporting operational security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security and compliance; contributing to the continuous improvement of supply chain processes; and supervising affiliate personnel as needed.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a completion of first-level education, supplemented by training in supply, logistics, or procurement. A valid driving license is essential. A university degree in business administration, logistics management, or a related field is desirable. Candidates should have at least ten years of related experience in warehouse management, logistics, supply, and procurement, preferably for UN agencies or NGOs. Strong organizational skills, stress and time management abilities, and a good knowledge of WHO systems and procedures are also required.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes completion of first-level education, with additional training in supply chain management, logistics, or procurement. A university degree in a relevant field such as business administration or logistics management is considered an asset and may enhance a candidate's qualifications.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of ten years of relevant experience in warehouse management, logistics, supply, and procurement, particularly within UN agencies or NGOs. This extensive experience is crucial for effectively managing complex supply chain operations and ensuring compliance with international standards.
Languages: Expert knowledge of English and Arabic is essential for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset but is not mandatory.
Additional Notes: This position offers an attractive remuneration package, including an annual net base salary starting at ILS 217,953, subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance.
