Job Overview: The FMIS Project Consultant position is focused on supporting the implementation and delivery of the Financial ManagementInformation System (FMIS) project. The consultant will be responsible for producing high-quality business requirements documentation, supporting solution design and implementation activities, and coordinating with stakeholders and technical teams. The role also involves supporting testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and training activities, as well as delivering project documentation and reporting. The consultant will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful deployment and stabilization of the project, which is expected to last for a duration of 7 months.
Duties and Responsibilities: The specific outputs and tasks for the FMIS Project Consultant include but are not limited to: building and maintaining FMIS application modules using ASP.NET/.NET Core and related Microsoft technologies; developing and maintaining organizational hierarchy, premises management, projects management, dashboards, reporting, and GIS-related modules; developing backend services, APIs, and integrations with internal and external systems; providing daily technical support and analyzing business/system requirements; conducting bug fixing, troubleshooting, optimization, and quality assurance activities; reviewing code to ensure application security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security, performance, and compliance with UNRWA standards; supporting deployment, UAT, production releases, and post-go-live stabilization activities; preparing technical documentation, deployment guides, and user manuals; delivering regular progress updates and backlog tracking reports; and participating in Agile/Scrum ceremonies while collaborating with project stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for the FMIS Project Consultant position include a university degree from an accredited educational institution in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Additionally, candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of experience in web application development using ASP.NET/.NET Core and MS SQL Server. Experience in enterprise application development and implementation, developing APIs and integrations, and familiarity with ASP.NET MVC, .NET Framework/.NET Core, C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related technologies is essential. Candidates should also have experience with relational databases and SQL Server, as well as troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization skills. Familiarity with deployment environments and DevOps practices is desirable, and experience with GIS integrations and dashboards is considered an asset.

Additional Notes: The consultancy is based in UNRWA Headquarters in Amman, Jordan. The selected candidate will receive a monthly remuneration of JOD 996.42 for each fully completed month of service. The duration of the contract is 7 months, with the possibility of extension subject to the availability of funds, continuing need, and satisfactory performance. The role operates under the overall supervision of the Head of the Software Development Section and the Lead Solution Architecture within the Digital Impact, Technology and Innovation Department (DITID).
