Job Overview: The Programme Associate position at UN Women in Amman is primarily responsible for supporting the Office Programme by performing various administrative processes to ensure high quality and accuracy in Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) focused areas. Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide administrative and logistical support to the formulation and management of programmes, including preparing work plans, budgets, and proposals.
Offer technical guidance on routine delivery and reporting of programme activities and finances.
Prepare information for audits and support the implementation of audit recommendations.
Review programme data for the Jordan Country Office website and compile necessary information for documents and reports.
Assist in financial management by creating projects in the Quantum system, preparing budget revisions, and monitoring budget preparation.
Undertake logistical arrangements for meetings, workshops, and events, including travel arrangements for the Programme Team.
Support resource mobilization efforts by preparing agreements and processing information from donors.
Facilitate knowledge building by synthesizing lessons learned and organizing training for office personnel.
Required Qualifications: The position requires a minimum of secondary education, with a Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration being desirable. Candidates must have at least 6 years of progressively responsible experience in administration or programme management/support. Proficiency in using multiple office software packages, particularly Excel, is essential. Experience in supporting a programme management team and working with national and implementing partners is also required. Familiarity with modern web-based ERP systems, preferably Oracle Cloud, is necessary.
Educational Background: Completion of secondary education is required, while a Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration is preferred.
