Job Overview: The position of Online Volunteer for the World Drug Day Campaign is designed to engage individuals in a digital outreach initiative aimed at raising awareness and promoting public engagement regarding drug-related issues in Afghanistan. Volunteers will play a pivotal role in amplifying key messages and facilitating community involvement through social media platforms. Each Online Volunteer is expected to share 2-3 campaign posts weekly, utilizing their personal or community networks to maximize outreach. The campaign is scheduled to run throughout June 2026, culminating on World Drug Day, June 2
Volunteers will receive a social media calendar and a digital toolkit containing all necessary campaign content, messaging guidance, and participation instructions. Additionally, there will be a mandatory orientation call during the first week of June 2026 to ensure all volunteers are well-prepared and informed about their roles and responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Online Volunteers will be tasked with several key responsibilities to ensure the success of the World Drug Day campaign. Each volunteer will share 2-3 campaign posts weekly across their social media platforms, contributing to the overall visibility and impact of the campaign. Volunteers will also be responsible for light tracking of campaign engagement metrics, which involves updating a shared Google Sheet with relevant data as directed by the assigned Group Coordinator. Furthermore, five Coordination Online Volunteers will be appointed to oversee small teams of Online Volunteers, facilitating communication and coordination among team members. These Coordination OVs will play a crucial role in ensuring that all volunteers are aligned and effectively contributing to the campaign's objectives. All campaign materials, including messaging guidance and participation instructions, will be provided through a digital toolkit, ensuring that volunteers have access to the necessary resources to perform their duties effectively.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Online Volunteer position should possess a strong commitment to the mission of UNODC and a passion for addressing drug-related issues.
