Job Overview: The Business Analyst Consultant position is focused on supporting the implementation and delivery of the Financial ManagementInformation System (FMIS) project. The consultant will be responsible for producing high-quality business requirements documentation, assisting in solution design and implementation, coordinating with stakeholders and technical teams, and supporting testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and training activities. The role also involves delivering project documentation and reporting, ensuring successful project deployment and stabilization. The consultant will work closely with various teams to ensure that the project meets its objectives and adheres to UNRWA's standards and frameworks.
Duties and Responsibilities: The specific outputs and tasks for this position include conducting business analysis activities to gather detailed business requirements, preparing and maintaining Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, workflows, process diagrams, and related project documentation. The consultant will coordinate with business stakeholders, developers, and technical teams to ensure an accurate understanding and implementation of requirements. Additionally, the consultant will assist in project planning, monitoring, and coordination activities, support solution design discussions, and assist in defining system workflows, validation rules, reporting requirements, and dashboards. Participation in testing activities, including system integration testing (SIT), UAT, and defect management, is also required. The consultant will support data migration validation and business verification activities, develop user manuals and training materials, and conduct user training sessions as needed. Furthermore, the consultant will support project governance, progress tracking, and status reporting, coordinate with external vendors and consultants involved in the FMIS implementation, and ensure compliance with UNRWA IMT standards, project management frameworks, and quality assurance processes. Other related duties may be assigned as necessary.
Required Qualifications: The position requires a university degree from an accredited educational institution in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Additionally, a minimum of 4 years of experience in web application development using ASP.NET/.NET Core and MS SQL Server is required. Candidates should have experience in enterprise application development and implementation, developing APIs and integrations, and working with ASP.NET MVC, .NET Framework/.NET Core, C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related technologies. Experience with relational databases and SQL Server, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization is also necessary. Familiarity with deployment environments and DevOps practices is desirable, and experience with GIS integrations and dashboards is considered an asset.
Educational Background: Candidates must possess a university degree from an accredited educational institution in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. This educational background is essential for understanding the technical and business aspects of the role and for effectively contributing to the FMIS project.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in web application development, particularly using ASP.NET/.NET Core and MS SQL Server. Additional Notes: The consultancy is based in UNRWA Headquarters in Amman, Jordan. The selected candidate will receive a monthly remuneration of JOD 996.42 for each fully completed month of service. The duration of the contract is 9 months, with the possibility of extension subject to the availability of funds, continuing need, and satisfactory performance. The role operates under the overall supervision of the Head of the Enterprise Business Solutions Section within the Digital Impact, Technology and Innovation Department (DITID).
