Duties and Responsibilities: The Staff Counsellor will undertake a range of responsibilities, including: acting as a clinical counselling resource for personnel requiring psychological assistance; providing critical stress management services following traumatic events; conducting psychosocial assessments and making recommendations; ensuring access to counselling services across various locations; collaborating with other UN agencies and NGOs; coordinating clinical activities with civilian and military staff counsellors; providing conflict resolution and mediation sessions; facilitating peer support initiatives; compiling and developing information resources for personnel; providing stress management induction for new staff; monitoring the implementation of stress management programs; and reporting on activities to the Chief Counselling Unit. The role may also involve any other related tasks as assigned by the Chief or Designated Officer.
