Job Overview:
The Senior Project Coordinator for the vaccination project will play a crucial role within the expanding health team at the IRC. This position entails overall responsibility for managing a vaccination project aimed at improving vaccination coverage and reducing the number of unvaccinated children in Chad to zero through cost-effective interventions. The project emphasizes a combination of supply-side and demand-side strategies to enhance vaccination coverage and reduce child mortality in fragile and crisis-affected settings. The Senior Project Coordinator will oversee all aspects of the project, ensuring high-quality technical approaches, effective implementation, rigorous monitoring, and strong partnerships with donors and sector stakeholders. Reporting to the Deputy Programme Director, the Senior Project Coordinator will supervise a small team, including the MEAL Manager and the Finance Officer, and will work closely with technical coordinators and health teams to ensure alignment with the IRC's broader health portfolio and strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Project Coordinator will be responsible for the strategic management of all aspects of the vaccination project. This includes ensuring that the project team has the necessary tools, guidance, and support to implement project activities effectively while ensuring compliance with donor requirements. The Coordinator will oversee the planning and design of the project start-up phase, monitor progress, and provide support to field teams as needed. Financial management will also be a key responsibility, requiring oversight in partnership with the Finance Officer to ensure consistency of financial information. The Coordinator will support the team in producing high-quality and timely financial and narrative reports to meet donor requirements. Additionally, the Coordinator will continuously identify, assess, and mitigate risks that may affect project implementation, working with teams to take corrective measures. Building a strong and effective team and supporting its growth and performance in accordance with IRC's staff management and leadership standards will also be essential.

Proven skills in managing multinational health projects funded by donors and experience in demand-driven health interventions and community engagement programs are essential.
