Job Overview:
The Service Contract Holder will provide program implementation support to the Sciences (SCS) Unit and the Regional Office of UNESCO Institute for Statistics (UIS). This role requires a proactive approach to ensure compliance with HR, Administrative, and Financial rules and regulations of the Organization. The position demands a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, as the holder will monitor finance and budgetary aspects of program activities, support procurement actions, and manage contract processes. The role also involves data analysis for budget and expenditure, drafting financial updates, and coordinating outreach activities and workshops. The Service Contract Holder will be expected to maintain and archive program documentation, provide general office assistance, and establish effective working relationships with internal and external partners.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Service Contract Holder include monitoring finance and budgetary aspects of program activities, providing support in procurement actions and contract management, undertaking budget and expenditure data analysis, collating information for reports, supporting outreach activities and workshops, assessing needs for meetings and events, maintaining program documentation, and providing general office assistance. Additional tasks may be assigned as necessary, ensuring they align with the primary functions of the role.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have completed secondary education and/or possess a Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, finance, accounting, management, education, social sciences, or related fields. They should have a minimum of five years of work experience in integrated service execution and comprehensive process support, preferably in an international environment. Proven experience in providing administrative and logistical support as part of a project team is also required.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes completed secondary education and/or a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields such as business administration, finance, accounting, management, education, or social sciences. A higher degree in international development is desirable.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of five years of relevant work experience, particularly in integrated service execution and comprehensive process support within an international context. Experience in providing administrative and logistical support as part of a project team is essential.

Languages:
Candidates must have excellent knowledge of English and Thai, both spoken and written. Knowledge of other official UN languages such as Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish would be considered an asset.

Additional Notes:
