Job Overview:
This internship position is part of the Enterprise Solutions Service (ESS) within the Office of Information and Communications Technology (OICT). The role is designed for individuals who are looking to gain practical experience in software development and IT solutions within a global organization. Interns will be expected to work full-time, committing to 35 hours per week, and will be supervised by a staff member in the OICT/ESS. The internship is unpaid, and candidates should be prepared to cover their own expenses related to travel, accommodation, and living costs. Interns will engage in various tasks that will enhance their technical skills and provide exposure to the workings of the United Nations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will have a range of responsibilities that may vary based on their individual backgrounds and skills. Key duties include: writing code in programming languages such as Java, React, and Python; deploying and testing applications; committing code to version control systems like Git; participating in weekly meetings to discuss project progress; preparing documentation for software projects; and demonstrating applications to audiences. Required Qualifications:
