Job Overview:
The Knowledge Management, Research & Evaluation Catalogue Specialist will play a crucial role in enhancing WFP’s knowledge management capabilities. This position involves designing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive knowledge management system that encompasses evaluations, research studies, assessments, and other analytical products. The specialist will be responsible for creating a structured information library that ensures evidence and evaluation findings are effectively communicated within WFP and to external partners. The role requires collaboration with various teams, including the Programme and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) units, to promote evidence-informed operations and enhance the visibility of WFP’s analytical work. The specialist will also be tasked with translating complex technical evidence into accessible insights, thereby supporting WFP’s mission of delivering effective humanitarian assistance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Knowledge Management, Research & Evaluation Catalogue Specialist include: A. Knowledge Management System Development: Conducting a mapping of existing repositories and document flows, contributing to the development of a taxonomy and metadata standards, and designing a user-friendly centralized evidence library. B. Catalogue and Content Management: Identifying, collecting, and cataloguing evaluations, research studies, and analytical outputs, ensuring systematic tagging and indexing, and maintaining an updated inventory of all evidence products. C. Evidence Communication, Advocacy & Knowledge Translation: Supporting the transformation of complex evidence into engaging communication products, developing summaries and advocacy materials, and disseminating evaluation findings through various channels. D. Knowledge-Sharing and Internal Engagement: Curating updates on new evaluations, organizing learning events, and managing communication channels for evidence sharing. E. Capacity Strengthening: Training staff on the knowledge management platform, developing user guides, and providing ongoing support. F. Monitoring, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement: Monitoring usage of the evidence library, proposing improvements, and delivering periodic reports summarizing progress and challenges.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for this position include an advanced degree in Knowledge Management, Information Science, Evaluation, Communications, Social Sciences, or a related field. Candidates should possess strong writing and analytical skills, with the ability to simplify complex findings and produce engaging visuals. Excellent organization and attention to detail are essential, along with strong communication and facilitation abilities. Familiarity with the UN or humanitarian/development context is strongly desirable, and experience with SharePoint or digital knowledge platforms is considered an asset.

Educational Background:
Candidates must have an advanced degree in a relevant field such as Knowledge Management, Information Science, Evaluation, Communications, or Social Sciences. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of knowledge management and the analytical processes involved in evaluations and research.

Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in knowledge management, evaluation, research, or evidence communications is required. Candidates should have experience in producing communication and advocacy materials for technical content and familiarity with the UN or humanitarian/development context is strongly desirable. Experience with digital knowledge platforms, particularly SharePoint, is an asset.

Languages:
Fluency in English (level C) is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an advantage, particularly in the context of WFP's diverse operational environments.

Additional Notes:
This position is a locally recruited International Consultant (Junior Consultant) role based at the WFP Country Office in Cambodia, with a contract duration of 6 months. The vacancy is open to non-Cambodian nationals currently residing in Cambodia.
