Job Overview:
The position of E T Consultant (Infrastructure Engineering Analyst - NOC Technician) is integral to the World Bank Group's Information Technology Solutions (ITS) Vice Presidential Unit. This role is focused on ensuring the reliability and performance of the Bank's network infrastructure, which is critical for supporting its global operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and managing network incidents, performing troubleshooting, and maintaining communication links. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders. The NOC operates 24/7, and the analyst will be expected to work flexibly to meet operational demands, including weekends and public holidays. Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the E T Consultant include performing first and second-level repair and maintenance of the Bank's LAN and global communications networks. This encompasses troubleshooting network infrastructure, including switches and routers, as well as communication links such as VSAT and MPLS. The analyst will collaborate with internal and external technical support teams to ensure swift resolution of network incidents. Additionally, the role involves supporting the implementation of global communication projects, conducting link acceptance testing, and serving as a liaison between engineers and IT staff during incidents. The consultant will also be responsible for configuring switch ports, operating test equipment, and conducting performance testing. Other responsibilities include writing and updating technical troubleshooting procedures, escalating incidents as necessary, and maintaining effective working relationships in a multicultural environment.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, along with at least two years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the IT sector. A strong background in telecommunications, computer networking, or wired/wireless technologies is essential. Advanced knowledge of Cisco operating systems and relevant technical certifications are preferred. Additionally, candidates should have a good understanding of networking protocols and services, including TCP/IP, IPSec, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, and IP Anycast. Proficiency in network monitoring tools such as PRTG, SolarWinds, and Cisco Prime is required, along with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently and collaboratively. Excellent customer service, technical, and analytical skills are also necessary for this role.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field. Candidates with equivalent experience in the IT sector may also be considered. Relevant technical certifications in networking and telecommunications will enhance a candidate's profile and are preferred by the organization.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of two years of relevant experience in telecommunications, computer networking, or related fields. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree may qualify with at least one year of related work experience. Experience in managing network incidents and familiarity with IT service management platforms such as ServiceNow will be advantageous.

Languages:
The mandatory language for this position is English. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered a plus, although not explicitly required for the role.
