Job Overview: The Information Analyst position is critical in the context of the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, particularly due to the war that has severely impacted the national health system. The role involves preparing analytical reports and visualizations that inform decision-making within the Health Cluster, which coordinates health responses among various humanitarian organizations and government authorities. The Information Analyst will collect and consolidate data from multiple sources, ensuring that the information is accurate and relevant for guiding health interventions. This position requires a strong analytical background, as the analyst will be responsible for validating data quality, conducting trend analyses, and producing high-quality reports that support operational planning and strategic decision-making in a fast-paced humanitarian environment. The role also emphasizes the importance of addressing the needs of vulnerable populations affected by the conflict, ensuring that health services are delivered effectively in high-risk areas.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Information Analyst will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including:
Defining, collating, and conducting trend analysis on quantitative and qualitative data regarding the use of medicines and OTC kits by health partners.
Supporting needs assessments and severity analysis during Cluster planning.
Ensuring data quality through validation and cleaning processes.
Producing analytic reports and visualizations on analyzed data, including identifying gaps at the oblast level.
Contributing analytical inputs to strategic documents such as HRP and response plans.
Compiling data from partners on their interventions in collaboration with sub-national coordinators.
Backstopping the verification of attacks on health facilities and updating the database accordingly.
Tracking key health indicators and Health Cluster performance monitoring, flagging major changes and emerging issues.
Producing external information products and updating the Health Cluster indicator monitoring table monthly. 1
Creating bi-monthly analytical summaries on trends and key data caveats for reporting use. 1
Producing quarterly reports on the use of medicines and OTC kit analysis based on partner activities. 1
Visualizing trends through graphs, charts, maps, and infographics for briefs and presentations. 1
Updating the attacks-on-health database and supporting the layout of PowerPoint presentations for external products. 1
Computing the People in Need and targeted populations for health as part of the Humanitarian Needs and Response Planning.
Required Qualifications: The position requires a university degree (Bachelor’s) in Statistics or a related field, with a strong emphasis on quantitative and qualitative analysis. Essential qualifications include strong analytical and quantitative skills, proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Tableau, and knowledge of GIS tools like QGIS or ArcGIS. The candidate should also possess excellent writing and communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with humanitarian principles and experience in the humanitarian response in Ukraine are desirable qualifications.
Educational Background: Candidates must hold a university degree (Bachelor’s) in Statistics or a related field that includes training in quantitative and qualitative analysis. This educational background is essential for the analytical tasks required in this role, as it provides the necessary foundation for understanding complex data sets and conducting thorough analyses.
Experience: The position requires at least 2 years of relevant experience in conducting, participating in, and analyzing survey findings. Experience in designing graphic information management products is also essential. Desirable experience includes working in the humanitarian response in Ukraine and applying knowledge of humanitarian principles in practice. This level of experience is crucial for effectively managing the data and producing the necessary reports and visualizations that inform health interventions.
Languages: The mandatory languages for this position are excellent written and spoken English and Ukrainian. Proficiency in these languages is essential for effective communication and reporting within the Health Cluster and with various stakeholders involved in the humanitarian response.

The total contract value is USD 19,092.00, with a monthly rate of USD 3,182.00 based on 20 working days per month. Payment will be made on a monthly basis after the provision of a Technical Report and approval from the Responsible Office. The position is on-site in Kyiv, and no travel is anticipated.
