Job Overview:
The DevOps Engineer position is crucial for ensuring the stable operation of the 'ePamiatka' system, which is part of Ukraine's cultural heritage protection efforts. This role involves working closely with the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine to maintain and enhance the state digital infrastructure that supports cultural heritage projects. The engineer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes, ensuring the reliability and security of the system, and managing infrastructure components. The position requires a proactive approach to incident management and a commitment to maintaining high availability and performance standards for the system.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The DevOps Engineer will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including:
  • Supporting the operability of the infrastructure and controlling deployment processes.
  • Monitoring the condition of system components and promptly detecting and resolving failures in service operations.
  • Collaborating with the Ministry of Culture to ensure the secure and scalable operation of the digital infrastructure.
  • Implementing and maintaining CI/CD processes for the 'ePamiatka' system, ensuring stable pipeline execution and deployment of registry services.
  • Maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) configurations and ensuring their current state.
  • Managing service operations in Kubernetes/OpenShift, including load and resource utilization.
  • Supporting monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for infrastructure condition control.
  • Providing technical support for changes, preparing environments, and ensuring stability post-updates.
  • Supporting server infrastructure, databases, and various environments (development, testing, production). 1
  • Ensuring the availability and monitoring of data exchange through APIs, particularly with external systems like EDESSB and the State Land Cadastre. 1
  • Diagnosing incidents and promptly resolving infrastructure-related issues. 1
  • Ensuring compliance with information security requirements and managing data recovery processes.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a higher education degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering, cybersecurity, administration" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">system administration, or related fields. Additionally, they should have at least 4-5 years of relevant professional experience in DevOps and operational support of information systems, particularly in production environments that require continuous availability. Experience with containerized environments, CI/CD processes, cloud and on-premises infrastructure, and monitoring tools is essential. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code approaches and public sector digital registries will be advantageous.

Educational Background:
A higher education degree in fields such as information technology, computer science, software engineering, cybersecurity, or system administration is required for this position. This educational background ensures that candidates have the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to manage complex digital infrastructures effectively.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have a minimum of 4-5 years of relevant professional experience in DevOps and operational support. This experience should include working with production environments that operate in continuous availability mode, as well as familiarity with container orchestration platforms and CI/CD processes. Candidates should also have practical experience with cloud and on-premises infrastructure, monitoring tools, and incident management.

Languages:
The primary working language for this position is Ukrainian, with English being required as necessary. Proficiency in both languages is essential for effective communication and collaboration with various stakeholders, including the Ministry of Culture and international partners.

Additional Notes:
The contract duration for this position is set for 8 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and project needs. The role is classified as a Consultant Contract Level 2 - Middle, and candidates are expected to work both home-based and office-based as required.
