Job Overview:
The security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Security Coordinator position at FHI 360 is crucial for ensuring the safety and security of personnel in Bangladesh. Reporting to the Associate Director of Finance and Operations, the Security Coordinator will lead the implementation of safety and security policies while supporting core administrative and operational functions. This role involves developing and executing a comprehensive security strategy, managing travel logistics, procurement support, and office services to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. The Security Coordinator will conduct security risk assessments, oversee travel arrangements, and provide guidance on security matters to senior management. The position also entails maintaining effective coordination across departments and supporting staff and partners through training and implementation of safety protocols. The Security Coordinator will play a vital role in emergency planning and response, ensuring preparedness for potential crises and maintaining communication protocols for timely alerts.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Security Coordinator will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to: conducting comprehensive threat and risk assessments to identify security vulnerabilities; developing, updating, and implementing country-level security management plans; establishing communication and incident reporting systems; overseeing the physical security of facilities and assets; monitoring national and international security developments; conducting hotel and site safety assessments; building and maintaining a network of security stakeholders; delivering regular security training sessions; leading emergency planning and ensuring preparedness for potential crises; maintaining emergency communication protocols; serving as a member of the Security Management Team; preparing and submitting detailed security reports; supporting movement permissions and security clearances; arranging travel for national staff and visitors; managing hotel bookings; coordinating security checks; organizing venue logistics for meetings and workshops; supporting procurement processes; and overseeing office services and support staff activities.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in criminal justice, criminology, Military Science, Security Administration, or a related field, with advanced certifications such as ASIS CPP preferred. A minimum of 7 years of experience managing security operations for international organizations, particularly in humanitarian or development settings, is required. Candidates should demonstrate a proven ability to assess risks and develop effective security strategies in complex environments, possess strong understanding of NGO security protocols, and have experience in emergency management and crisis response. Excellent communication, analytical, and strategic planning skills are essential, along with familiarity with communications technologies and security management tools. Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Master’s degree in relevant fields such as criminal justice, criminology, Military Science, Security Administration, or a related discipline. Advanced certifications, particularly those recognized in the security field, such as ASIS CPP, are preferred and may enhance a candidate's qualifications.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience managing security operations, particularly within international organizations. Candidates should have experience in humanitarian or development settings, demonstrating the ability to assess risks and develop effective security strategies in complex and high-risk environments. Experience in training and delivering security and safety training to diverse audiences is also essential.

Languages:
Fluency in Bengali is mandatory, and proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is required. Candidates who possess additional language skills may have an advantage, particularly in enhancing communication with diverse stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
This position is based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and is open to Bangladeshi nationals or individuals legally authorized to work in Bangladesh. The expected hiring salary range for this role is between BDT 1,500,000 to 2,000,000 annually for gross salary.
