Job Overview:
The Supply and Logistics Specialist at UNICEF Ukraine plays a crucial role in managing the supply chain operations within the country office. This includes overseeing planning, procurement, customs clearance, warehousing, and distribution of supplies and services. The specialist will work closely with various programs and partners to ensure that supply interventions meet the needs of children and contribute to achieving programmatic results. The position requires a strong focus on equity, ensuring that the most disadvantaged children receive the necessary support. The specialist will also be responsible for strengthening supply chains, promoting innovation, and addressing supply bottlenecks to maximize the impact of resources.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage the Supply team to ensure effective service delivery and emergency response.
• Collaborate with program and implementing partners to define supply interventions.
• Provide technical and advisory support to government and national systems on supply chain management.
• Oversee the planning, procurement, contracting, customs clearance, warehousing, and distribution processes.
• Monitor supplies, services, and construction works to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Promote innovation in supply chain solutions and build local capacity.
• Identify and address supply bottlenecks to enhance service delivery.
• Ensure that supply chain operations align with UNICEF's equity strategy and contribute to the rights of every child.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Contract/Commercial Law, International Development, Health, or a related social science field. A minimum of five years of relevant experience in supply, logistics, procurement, contracting, or administration is required, with a strong understanding of development and humanitarian work. Candidates should demonstrate analytical skills, leadership, coordination abilities, and proficiency in procurement strategies and risk assessment.

Educational Background:
An advanced university degree is required in relevant fields such as Business Administration, Management, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Contract/Commercial Law, International Development, Health, or related social sciences. This educational background is essential to equip candidates with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively manage supply chain operations and contribute to UNICEF's mission.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of five years of relevant experience at both national and international levels in areas such as supply, logistics, procurement, contracting, and administration. Experience in development and humanitarian contexts is particularly valuable, as it provides insight into the challenges and needs of vulnerable populations. Familiarity with emergency response and health supply chain management is also advantageous.

Languages:

This position is based in Kyiv, Ukraine, and the incumbent is expected to work on-site.
