Job Overview:
The Program Assistant (PA) position at the World Bank involves providing comprehensive administrative support to senior staff and coordinating various operational tasks within the country office team in Brazil. The role requires a proactive approach to managing meeting agendas, handling confidential information, and supporting project teams. The PAs will be integral in ensuring smooth operations, assisting with logistics for meetings, and maintaining organized filing systems. The position is designed for individuals who can work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment, demonstrating strong communication skills and attention to detail. The PAs will also be responsible for drafting reports, managing correspondence, and supporting the preparation of mission announcements and local logistics for visiting missions.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Program Assistant include coordinating and managing meeting agendas, providing administrative support to senior staff, contributing to operational tasks, serving as a resource for complex problems, attending and preparing minutes for meetings, drafting reports, maintaining filing systems, coordinating logistics for meetings, assisting with travel arrangements, and handling various informational requests. The PAs will also monitor and track project timelines, coordinate with other units and stakeholders, and provide logistical support for external events. Additionally, they will be responsible for ensuring quality control of documents and assisting with the clearance procedures for project-related materials.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a high school diploma along with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Fluency in English and Portuguese, both verbal and written, is mandatory. The ability to handle critical and confidential information with discretion, strong organizational skills, and the capability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to producing high-quality work and possess strong communication skills for presenting findings.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a high school diploma. However, candidates with higher education qualifications may also be considered, especially if they have relevant experience in administrative support or project management.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 7 years of experience in administrative roles or related fields. Candidates should have a proven track record of managing multiple tasks, working under tight deadlines, and demonstrating the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience in a multicultural environment and familiarity with the operations of international organizations would be advantageous.

Languages:
