Duties and Responsibilities: The Senior Driver / Security Clerk will have a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities, including:
Driving and Logistics: - Provide safe and reliable driving services for the Chief Technical Adviser (CTA), senior-level officials, project staff, and authorized visitors. - Meet and assist officials and visitors at the airport, including handling protocol, visa, and customs formalities. - Assist in the procurement, shipment, and receipt of office supplies and equipment, ensuring customs clearance as needed. - Provide messenger services, including the mailing, collection, and distribution of documents to various ministries and banks. - Maintain all required vehicle documentation, including insurance, registration, and logs. - Ensure the proper maintenance of assigned vehicles, including minor repairs and timely servicing. - Keep accurate records of vehicle usage, including mileage and fuel consumption.
Safety and Security Support: - Assist in security assessments and management, liaising with host government security organizations and personnel. - Continuously assess security conditions and share information with staff and relevant security forums. - Maintain confidential security documentation and manage the ILO warden system. - Prepare security reports and ensure compliance with safety protocols during operations.
Administrative Support: - Provide clerical support, including typing, filing, and making reservations. - Assist with IT-related tasks and maintain inventory lists of equipment. - Process requests for visas and other documentation as required. - Perform additional duties as assigned by the CTA or Security Officer.
