Job Overview:
The position of Online Volunteer for Philosophical, Theological, Ethical, and Cultural Anthropology Support is designed to contribute to the enhancement of the MoralityCode Mobile App, an innovative ethical decision-making tool that integrates moral philosophy, emotional intelligence, cultural anthropology, and a health and medical model. The app is already functional and available for download, and this second phase focuses on enhancing user experience, improving interface responsiveness, refining the AI/ML reasoning engine, and deepening philosophical content. Each volunteer will be assigned a distinct enhancement area, following a one-task-per-volunteer principle to ensure clarity, accountability, and measurable impact. The primary objective is to develop new content that enriches the MoralityCode app’s moral reasoning database by integrating diverse philosophical, theological, ethical, and cultural-anthropological insights, ensuring the platform reflects global cultural realities and provides inclusive moral guidance for users from all backgrounds.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Each online volunteer will be responsible for producing structured ethical content for the MoralityCode AI. The specific duties include developing 20 moral dilemmas or ethical scenarios, each designed as a structured narrative case study for AI moral reasoning training. Each scenario should reflect diverse global cultural contexts and incorporate real-world social, philosophical, or community-based situations across different traditions and settings. Volunteers must integrate ethical reasoning grounded in philosophical, theological, and anthropological perspectives, ensuring balance, inclusivity, and intercultural understanding. Scenarios must follow a structured storytelling and tagging framework, including classification across Tradition, Ethical Framework, Theme, Tension Type, and Context categories to support database filtering and AI training. The content must maintain cultural sensitivity, moral neutrality, and respect for spiritual and worldview diversity. Each dilemma should be approximately 300–500 words in length, and scenarios should be written as brief narrative case studies suitable for integration into the AI moral reasoning database. Volunteers will collaborate with the AI development team to ensure alignment with ethical logic structures, tagging taxonomy, and anthropological principles used in AI training systems.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidates for this position should possess a strong background in philosophy, theology, ethics, or cultural anthropology. They should have a deep understanding of moral reasoning and ethical frameworks, as well as the ability to integrate diverse cultural perspectives into their work. Candidates must demonstrate excellent writing skills, particularly in crafting narrative case studies that reflect global diversity and intercultural understanding. Additionally, they should be able to work independently, manage their time effectively, and collaborate with a team remotely. Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts would be beneficial but is not mandatory.

Educational Background:
Candidates should ideally hold a degree in philosophy, theology, ethics, cultural anthropology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or ongoing studies in these areas would be advantageous, as they would provide a deeper understanding of the complexities involved in moral reasoning and ethical decision-making. Relevant coursework or experience in writing, narrative development, or content creation is also desirable.

Experience:
While specific professional experience is not strictly required, candidates should have a demonstrated ability to engage with philosophical and ethical concepts critically. Experience in writing, particularly in creating structured narratives or case studies, is highly valued. Previous volunteer work or internships in related fields may also be beneficial, as they would provide practical experience in applying theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory, as all content will be developed in this language. Knowledge of additional languages, particularly those that reflect diverse cultural contexts, would be considered a strong asset, as it could enhance the richness and inclusivity of the content developed for the MoralityCode app.

Additional Notes:
This position is entirely remote, allowing volunteers to work from anywhere with a stable internet connection. Each volunteer must have access to a laptop and participate in weekly coordination meetings held via Zoom or Google Meet every Thursday from 1:00–1:30 PM UTC. The role is voluntary, and while it does not offer financial compensation, it provides valuable experience in ethical content development and the opportunity to contribute to a meaningful project that aims to enhance moral reasoning and cultural understanding in AI systems.
