Job Overview: As the Head of Data & Corporate Solutions Department at the EIB, you will be at the forefront of one of the bank's most critical transformation areas. This role requires a combination of strategic vision, enterprise leadership, and data expertise to drive significant outcomes at the EIB Group scale. You will lead a department that is essential for reinforcing business operations through effective data collection, management, and reporting. The department is pivotal in enabling the EIB Group's digitalization efforts by managing and evolving strategic capabilities across various domains, including data management, ERP solutions, and institutional information services. Your leadership will be instrumental in supporting decision-making, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Duties and Responsibilities: In this role, you will be responsible for leading and shaping the strategic direction of data, analytics, information management, and corporate solutions to support the EIB Group's digitalization objectives. You will drive enterprise-wide data transformation, positioning data as a strategic asset while overseeing the evolution of data governance, platforms, analytics, and reporting services. Your duties will include designing and leading an organization that is fit for purpose, defining structures, roles, and skills necessary for delivering complex transformations at scale. You will act as a trusted partner, providing strategic guidance on data and information solutions, influencing investment decisions, and aligning priorities with institutional objectives. Additionally, you will oversee the evolution of information and collaboration services, ensuring effective lifecycle management and regulatory compliance. You will continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency and impact, lead large delivery ecosystems, and build a high-performing organization that can deliver complex transformations effectively.
Required Qualifications: To qualify for this position, you must possess a university degree (minimum equivalent to a Bachelor) in a relevant field such as Data Science, Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or Business. You should have at least 10 years of progressive experience in senior leadership roles, demonstrating substantial responsibility for enterprise-scale data and technology-enabled transformation environments. This experience must reflect a progression in scope, accountability, and organizational influence. Additionally, you should have at least 5 years of experience in a people leadership or managerial role, with a proven track record of leading and developing large teams and delivering complex, multi-stakeholder transformation initiatives. Strong hands-on experience in data management and governance is essential, along with a solid understanding of modern data and technology environments.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a university degree, preferably in Data Science, Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related domain. This foundational education is critical for understanding the complexities of data management and corporate solutions within the context of the EIB's operations.
Experience: The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in senior leadership roles, particularly in environments that involve enterprise-scale data and technology-enabled transformations. This experience should include at least 5 years in a managerial role, demonstrating the ability to lead large teams and manage complex transformation initiatives effectively. Proven leadership of major transformation programs at the enterprise level is crucial, ideally in organizations of substantial scale and complexity, such as financial institutions or large corporates.
Languages: Proficiency in English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of other EU languages is considered an advantage, as the EIB operates in a multilingual environment. While a good command of French is not explicitly required for hire, it is essential for future career development within the organization, as both English and French are official working languages of the EIB.
