Job Overview: The National Professional Officer will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at promoting the work of WHO Indonesia and its partners. This includes producing reports and publications that highlight the organization's interventions, consulting with technical teams to design content for publications, and developing grant proposals and donor reports. The officer will also conduct research, prepare donor profiles, and develop strategies for partner engagement. The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure effective documentation and reporting across WHO country programs. The incumbent will support the development of tools for centralized data collection and provide guidance for monitoring and evaluation efforts across programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Produce a variety of reports and publications, including country case studies, success stories, and summaries that promote WHO Indonesia's work.
Consult with technical and communication teams to design the presentation of content, including graphic elements and layout for publications.
Develop grant proposals, concept notes, and donor reports in collaboration with technical teams, ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
Conduct research and prepare grant analysis and donor profiles for meetings with new and existing donors.
Develop and implement strategies for partner engagement and visibility activities to maintain recognition of partner investments.
Provide technical support for consistent documentation and reporting across WHO country programs.
Support the development of tools for centralized data collection and monitoring of technical activities.
Provide guidance and technical support for monitoring and evaluation efforts, including in-house training.
Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications: Essential qualifications include a university degree (bachelor's) in international relations, political science, health/public health, or social science. Desirable qualifications include training on mainstreaming gender and/or results-based management principles in projects/programmes, as well as an advanced degree in public health. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of public health and communications for partnerships, possess strong interpersonal skills, and have proven skills in drafting grant proposals and donor reports. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to conceptualize ideas and promote consensus.
Educational Background: Candidates must hold a university degree (bachelor's) in relevant fields such as international relations, political science, health/public health, or social science. Additional training in gender mainstreaming or results-based management is desirable, and an advanced degree in public health is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of two years of relevant experience is required, particularly in reporting, documentation, knowledge management, and communication. Desirable experience includes health/public health programme/project management at the national level, partner coordination, and communications for partnerships. Relevant experience in a UN system agency or international organization is considered an asset.
Languages: Essential languages include expert knowledge of English and Bahasa Indonesia. Proficiency in these languages is crucial for effective communication and reporting.
Additional Notes: This position is classified as a National Professional Officer role, meaning only applications from nationals of Indonesia will be accepted. The remuneration for this position includes an annual base salary starting at IDR 734,133,000, subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance. The role offers 30 days of annual leave.
