Job Overview:
The Facilitator position is crucial for the implementation of the Revival of Balochistan Water Resources Programme (RBWRP) in the Hingol River Basin of Balochistan province, Pakistan. The role involves working closely with local communities, NGOs, and technical working groups to mobilize farmers and enhance their capacity in water management and agricultural practices. The Facilitator will be responsible for organizing community meetings, conducting needs assessments, and ensuring the participation of all community members in project activities. This position requires a proactive approach to community engagement and the ability to navigate the complexities of local agricultural challenges, particularly in the context of Pakistan's ongoing economic and environmental issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Facilitator will oversee the organization of community meetings to discuss project interventions, ensuring that all community members, including women and minorities, are included in the discussions. Responsibilities include identifying target villages, conducting project rapid assessments, and facilitating the formation of farmer groups and associations. The Facilitator will also coordinate with NGOs to ensure proper documentation of community mobilization activities, maintain records of project inputs distribution, and handle any complaints or disputes that arise among stakeholders. Additionally, the Facilitator will support awareness campaigns and validate grantees for community-level initiatives, submitting regular reports to project management.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in Agriculture, Social Sciences, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in community mobilization, dispute resolution, and organizing training activities in agriculture or livestock is required. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment. Familiarity with local agricultural practices and community dynamics in Khuzdar is essential.

Educational Background:
A university degree in Agriculture, Social Sciences, or an equivalent field is mandatory. The FAO only considers higher educational qualifications obtained from accredited institutions recognized in the World Higher Education Database (WHED).

Experience:
Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience in community mobilization, particularly in agriculture or livestock sectors. Experience working with NGOs or international organizations is preferred, as is familiarity with local languages and cultural practices in the Khuzdar district.

Languages:
Proficiency in English and Urdu is required, with a working knowledge of local languages spoken in Khuzdar being advantageous. This linguistic capability is essential for effective communication with community members and stakeholders.

Additional Notes:
The position is based in Khuzdar district, Balochistan, and is part of a project funded by the EU.
