Job Overview:
The Product Analyst position at the World Bank Group is a critical role within the Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) Vice Presidential Unit (VPU). This unit is dedicated to enabling the World Bank Group to fulfill its mission of eradicating extreme poverty and enhancing shared prosperity through the delivery of transformative information and technologies. The Product Analyst will specifically contribute to the Knowledge for Operations program, which supports the implementation of the Knowledge 360 platform and sector agents. The role involves ensuring the effective delivery of AI-driven, knowledge-centric products and platforms, which are essential for the World Bank's Knowledge Agenda. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and refining business requirements, driving the delivery of AI-enabled products, and ensuring alignment between business needs and AI solution design. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for AI intervention and facilitating rapid prototyping and testing of solutions, ultimately leading to high-value outcomes with minimal time-to-delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Product Analyst will have a comprehensive set of duties and responsibilities, including:
  • Collecting, refining, and documenting business requirements with a focus on AI solutioning, ensuring clear acceptance and evaluation criteria tailored to AI outputs.
  • Driving fast cycle delivery of AI-enabled products, ensuring that requirements are actionable, lightweight, and optimized for rapid experimentation and deployment.
  • Ensuring strong alignment between business needs and AI solution design to enable high-value outcomes with minimal time-to-delivery.
  • Facilitating rapid prototyping, iterative testing, and accelerated rollouts, shepherding solutions from Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to production.
  • Identifying and articulating high-impact opportunities for AI intervention, prioritizing use cases that deliver fast measurable benefits.
  • Capturing concise, fit-for-purpose functional and technical specifications to support the speedy development of Rapid AI Solutions.
  • Gathering and synthesizing user requirements quickly and accurately through focused interviews, design workshops, and rapid discovery sessions.
  • Supporting backlog prioritization based on value, feasibility, and speed-to-impact, ensuring the Rapid AI pipeline remains efficient and outcomes-focused.
  • Collaborating closely with business and technical stakeholders to validate AI opportunities and streamline processes for rapid adoption of AI-powered capabilities. 1
  • Contributing to sprint planning, refinement, and reviews, ensuring each increment supports fast-paced AI delivery goals. 1
  • Developing and executing lean test plans emphasizing rapid verification, model output validation, and continuous quality improvement. 1
  • Supporting end-to-end testing and validation of AI systems and enhancements, ensuring outcomes are reliable, explainable, and aligned with intended business value.

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in delivering AI solutions in complex, large-scale environments, with a strong understanding of practical constraints, operational realities, and deployment considerations. Additionally, the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable, high-impact AI-enabled product features is essential. Recommended certifications include IIBA Certified Business Requirements Analysis Professional (IIBA CBAP) or SAFe Practitioner (SP) to ensure up-to-date knowledge of modern AI practices.

Educational Background:
Candidates for the Product Analyst position should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field. This educational background is essential to ensure that the candidate has the necessary theoretical knowledge and analytical skills to perform effectively in this role.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in a relevant field, particularly in delivering AI solutions within complex and large-scale environments.
