Job Overview:
The Rehabilitation Project Manager plays a crucial role in the implementation of Humanity & Inclusion's mandate and 10-year strategy within the country of operation. Reporting directly to the Area Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution of rehabilitation projects, ensuring that they meet the highest quality standards and have a significant impact on the communities served. This position requires a strong focus on project management, including the delegation of tasks and the establishment of oversight mechanisms to ensure effective project delivery. The Project Manager will work closely with other managers within the organization to ensure sound management practices and the effective functioning of the organization as a whole. The role involves a variety of activities centered around physical rehabilitation, managing a budget of approximately 400K€ and leading a team of two technical officers and physiotherapists. The Project Manager will also be involved in fundraising efforts, developing new partnerships, and potentially opening new projects in the region.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Rehabilitation Project Manager include, but are not limited to:
  • Providing technical guidance and support to project leaders and specialists, ensuring that project activities are implemented in accordance with internal quality and technical standards.
  • Adapting project documentation as necessary to align with global technical standards and norms.
  • Contributing to the regular reporting of technical activities, including the collection and analysis of technical data in collaboration with the project team and the MEAL team.
  • Supporting technical recruitment, training, and skills development within the sector, facilitating professional development through communities of practice, and delivering technical training to staff.
  • Contributing to the writing of new proposals for opportunities within the technical scope and representing the organization’s technical expertise in networks and with partners.
  • Ensuring emergency preparedness actions are supported or implemented, adapting work modalities during emergencies to contribute to effective humanitarian responses.
  • Managing the project budget and ensuring the effective functioning of the team, including recruitment and support for local staff.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Rehabilitation Project Manager position must possess a relevant degree in the field of physical rehabilitation. Additionally, they should have at least four years of experience in physical rehabilitation and a minimum of two years in capacity building and technical supervision. Experience in early rehabilitation projects or those linked to emergencies and chronic crises is essential. Proven training and local capacity-building experience are also required, along with the ability to adapt to rapidly changing contexts and plan accordingly. A willingness to travel frequently and work in remote, insecure areas is a must.
