Job Overview: The Multi-Core Competency Coordinator position is a critical role within NRC Mozambique, responsible for overseeing the implementation of multi-core competency projects in Southern Cabo Delgado. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and the management of a diverse team of professionals skilled in different areas of expertise. The coordinator will work under the supervision of the Area Program Manager and will be supported by relevant Core Competency Specialists. The role involves managing project activities throughout the project cycle, ensuring adherence to donor requirements, and maintaining high technical quality in project execution. The coordinator will also contribute to strategic development and ensure that project staff receive adequate technical guidance and support.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Multi-Core Competency Coordinator will have a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to: managing and overseeing the Multi-Core Competency project field staff, implementing and managing the delegated portfolio of projects, ensuring compliance with NRC policies and guidelines, and providing regular progress reports to management. The coordinator will also be responsible for planning and coordinating project activities, supporting staff development, identifying challenges in project implementation, and developing technical tools for new projects. Additionally, the coordinator will liaise with local and national authorities, represent NRC in relevant forums, and promote the rights of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and returnees.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a university degree in social sciences, development, rural development, environment, livelihoods, economics, or a related discipline. A minimum of three years of experience in project implementation and knowledge of project cycle management is required. Experience in complex and volatile contexts, particularly in humanitarian settings, is essential. Candidates should also have experience in at least one of the following sectors: Economic Recovery, Protection, Food Security, and Livelihoods, with additional experience in multiple sectors being advantageous. Documented results related to the position's responsibilities and experience in team management are also required.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a university degree in relevant fields such as social sciences, development, rural development, environment, livelihoods, or economics.
