Job Overview:
The National Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of the FAO component of the 'Community-based Agriculture Support Programme Plus' (CASP) Project in Tajikistan. This position requires close collaboration with the FAO Representative and the Lead Technical Officer, ensuring that project activities are executed effectively and in a timely manner. The coordinator will be responsible for developing quarterly project plans, preparing reports, and addressing administrative issues to facilitate successful project implementation. The role also involves liaising with stakeholders, organizing meetings and training sessions, and monitoring project activities to ensure alignment with the project's objectives. The National Project Coordinator will be expected to travel to various project sites, prepare mission reports, and maintain project schedules, contributing to the overall success of the project.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The National Project Coordinator will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including: assisting the Lead Technical Officer in implementing project activities; developing and executing quarterly project plans; preparing reports and documentation; addressing administrative issues; liaising with stakeholders and beneficiaries; organizing project meetings and training sessions; coordinating monitoring missions; traveling to project sites; preparing short mission reports; monitoring project activities; submitting monthly reports; maintaining project schedules; preparing progress reports; participating in relevant meetings and workshops; facilitating discussions; and performing any other duties assigned by the Budget Holder or Lead Technical Officer.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Agricultural Economics, Agriculture, Economics, or a related field from a recognized university. Additionally, a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in managing or coordinating international development projects in agriculture or rural development is required. Candidates should also have a working knowledge of English, Tajik, and Russian, and must be nationals of Tajikistan or residents with a valid work permit.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Master's degree in a relevant field such as Agricultural Economics, Agriculture, or Economics from a recognized institution. This advanced degree is essential to ensure that the candidate has the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to effectively manage and coordinate agricultural development projects.

Experience:
The position requires at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in the management or coordination of international development projects, specifically in agriculture or rural development. This experience should include working with international organizations, UN agencies, or NGOs, and should demonstrate a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.

Languages:
Candidates must have a working knowledge of English, Tajik, and Russian. Proficiency in these languages is essential for effective communication with stakeholders, beneficiaries, and project team members, as well as for preparing reports and documentation.
