Job Overview:
The internship-position" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">internship position is based at the headquarters of SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL in Clichy, within the Operations Department, which includes a dedicated support unit for security, safety, and humanitarian access. This unit operates under the direction of the Operations Department and works closely with Regional Directors and field teams. The Security/Access Referent provides both transversal support (foundational projects and institutionalized support) and specific support tailored to the needs of the organization. The goal is to evolve the institutional framework, participate in its dissemination, and support operations from a technical perspective. The internship offers an opportunity to discover and deepen practical knowledge of the functioning and challenges of security, safety, and humanitarian access support from the headquarters of an international NGO. Interns will develop transversal skills such as organization, coordination, analysis, synthesis, internal communication, and training/sensitization. This position also provides a first experience in the associative and humanitarian professional environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
As an intern in the Security, Safety & Humanitarian Access (SSAH) team, the intern will assist the technical referent in supporting operations aimed at developing, deploying, accompanying, and monitoring the implementation of the organization's security and access management framework. Under the supervision of the Security & Access Referent, the intern will contribute to the following tasks:
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of the security/access framework in the field (document tracking, archiving, dashboards, sensitization, and training).
  • Monitor contexts, alerts, and incidents (information collection, capitalization, coordination, and dissemination).
  • Contribute to the functioning and development of archiving, tracking, and thematic communication tools.
  • Assist in the monitoring of transversal projects.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should be currently enrolled in a program (Bac +2 to Bac +5) in international relations, international cooperation, security, or international humanitarian action. A strong interest in the associative and humanitarian sector is essential. Candidates should possess organizational skills, rigor, curiosity, and good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team. Proficiency in both French and English (written and spoken) is required, along with a good command of office software tools. An interest in geopolitics, security, and conflict resolution is also desirable, as well as a passion for cartography, data processing, and analysis.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes being in the process of obtaining a degree at the Bac +2 to Bac +5 level in fields related to international relations, international cooperation, security, or humanitarian action. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of humanitarian operations and the security challenges faced in the field.

Experience:
The position is intended for interns who may not have extensive professional experience but are eager to learn and gain practical insights into the humanitarian sector. A first experience in an associative or humanitarian environment is advantageous but not mandatory. The internship is designed to provide foundational experience and skills necessary for future roles in the sector.

Languages:
Proficiency in French is mandatory, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization. English proficiency is also required, both written and spoken, to facilitate communication with international teams and stakeholders. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not mandatory.

Additional Notes:
This internship position is for a duration of 6 months, starting from May 2026, and is based at the headquarters of SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL in Clichy-la-Garenne, Ile-de-France, France. The internship does not allow for remote work. Interns will receive a legal stipend of 15% of the hourly social security ceiling in effect, calculated based on actual hours worked each month (approximately 154 hours per month, equivalent to 22 days of 7 hours each). Additionally, public transport costs will be covered at 50% by SOLIDARITÉS INTERNATIONAL.
