Job Overview: The consultant will play a crucial role in supporting the CCAC's knowledge management and digital communications efforts. This position involves organizing, structuring, and packaging CCAC knowledge and outputs to make them accessible and understandable for external audiences. The consultant will work closely with technical teams to transform complex reports, tools, and project outputs into user-friendly formats, ensuring that the information is effectively communicated through various digital platforms. A significant aspect of this role is to enhance the usability and organization of the CCAC website, making it easier for users to navigate and find relevant content. The consultant will also be responsible for producing a variety of digital content, including web pages, newsletters, multimedia products, and social media content, all aimed at increasing the visibility and impact of CCAC's work. The ultimate goal is to strengthen the organization and dissemination of CCAC knowledge and outputs, ensuring that they reach a wide audience and contribute to the coalition's mission.
Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant's duties will include:
Supporting the knowledge management and organization of CCAC publications, tools, reports, and project outputs to ensure they are easily accessible.
Assisting in the management of website content, improving its structure and organization for better user experience.
Packaging technical content and project results into various knowledge products and communication materials that are clear and engaging.
Supporting Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) efforts and results-based communications by effectively presenting project results and impacts.
Developing digital content such as stories, briefs, explainers, multimedia products, newsletters, and social media content to enhance outreach.
Enhancing the knowledge management system to streamline access to CCAC resources.
Delivering comprehensive monthly digital content and knowledge products to keep stakeholders informed.
Regularly updating and organizing website content to reflect the latest information and resources.
Creating high-quality digital content, including web stories, social media cards, short videos, infographics, and other multimedia products. 1
Developing and disseminating monthly newsletters to keep the community engaged. 1
Maintaining and organizing CCAC digital content and knowledge resources for easy access. 1
Preparing monthly reports on website and social media analytics to track engagement and effectiveness.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a first-level university degree in communications, digital communications, knowledge management, information management, business administration, data analysis, international affairs, social sciences, environmental studies, or a related field. Additionally, a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in knowledge management, communications, digital content development, information management, business analysis, monitoring and evaluation, or a related area is required. Proven experience in structuring and synthesizing complex information into clear formats is essential, as is experience in developing knowledge products such as reports, briefs, dashboards, presentations, and multimedia content. Familiarity with website content management and organization is also necessary. Experience in Monitoring & Evaluation, results-based management, KPI tracking, data analysis, or performance reporting is desirable, along with the ability to translate technical information into accessible content for external audiences. Proficiency in digital content creation tools, particularly Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro or similar), is also desirable.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a first-level university degree in relevant fields such as communications, digital communications, knowledge management, information management, business administration, data analysis, international affairs, social sciences, environmental studies, or a related area. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of knowledge management and digital communications within the context of climate and clean air initiatives.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in areas such as knowledge management, communications, digital content development, information management, business analysis, monitoring and evaluation, or related fields. Candidates should have a proven track record of structuring and synthesizing complex information into accessible formats, as well as experience in developing various knowledge products and managing website content. Experience in Monitoring & Evaluation and performance reporting is also beneficial, along with a background in translating technical information for broader audiences.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of an additional UN language is considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders and audiences.
Additional Notes: This position is an in-person, full-time consultancy based in Paris, with an expected duration of 7 months.
