Duties and Responsibilities:

The intern will contribute to equipment performance monitoring and data analysis to assess reliability and fitness for purpose. Additional duties involve assisting in the integration of mechanical and electronic components into complete systems, maintaining engineering project files and equipment databases, participating in prototype assembly, troubleshooting technical issues, and contributing to quality assurance activities related to equipment lifecycle management. The intern will also provide technical input for internal knowledge-sharing materials and collaborate with the team to report progress on ongoing engineering projects.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field. A basic understanding of engineering principles relevant to mechanical, electrical, or electronic equipment design and testing is essential. Practical hands-on experience in laboratory, workshop, or engineering project environments is required, along with familiarity in drafting technical reports or structured documentation. Candidates should have a basic knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems and the ability to analyze technical data and present findings clearly.

Educational Background:
Applicants must be at least 20 years old and have completed a minimum of three years of full-time studies at a university or equivalent institution towards their first degree. Candidates may apply up to one year after completing a bachelor's, master's, or doctorate degree. It is important to note that candidates must not have previously participated in the IAEA's internship programme.

Experience:
