Job Overview:

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Logistics Officer will have a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to: adhering to NRC policies and guidelines; planning, scheduling, and monitoring the transport of staff and materials; ensuring all vehicles are in proper operating condition; managing drivers according to NRC logistics guidelines; distributing and organizing the transport of materials and equipment; preparing requisitions for spare parts; training and developing drivers; maintaining accurate vehicle records; compiling and submitting monthly vehicle utilization reports; monitoring fuel usage; coordinating with program teams for efficient vehicle movement; overseeing the vehicle log book and asset maintenance; ensuring the warehouse is orderly and clean; supervising the packing, loading, and unloading of materials; maintaining records for incoming and outgoing materials; and assisting with any other operational needs as requested by the Line Manager.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Logistics Officer position should possess a degree in a related field or have relevant practical experience, including any training courses pertinent to logistics and fleet management. Experience working in complex and volatile contexts is desirable but not essential. Candidates should demonstrate documented results related to the responsibilities of the position and have a working knowledge of English, both written and spoken. Additionally, candidates should exhibit strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, and a commitment to honesty and transparency in dealings with suppliers.
