Job Overview:
The Youth Officer position is a critical role within the NRC Jordan Youth Programme, which aims to empower youth, particularly Syrian and Jordanian individuals, to become active and engaged members of their communities. The officer will be responsible for the daily supervision, planning, and implementation of youth program activities at the field level. This includes managing Incentive Based Volunteers (IBVs) and liaising with various stakeholders to ensure the program meets its objectives. The role requires a strong understanding of the educational needs of youth, especially in the context of humanitarian settings, and the ability to adapt programming to meet these needs while considering the sensitivities involved in engaging youth. The Youth Officer will also be expected to promote and uphold the principles of the organization, including the prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA).

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Youth Officer will have a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to: ensuring adherence to NRC policies and guidelines; implementing the Core Competency project portfolio according to the established plan of action; preparing and developing status reports as required by management; maintaining proper documentation and filing; ensuring that project beneficiaries are identified and assisted effectively; promoting technical improvements within the program; and actively advocating for PSEA standards. Specific responsibilities will include planning and implementing youth program activities in camps, maintaining close supervision and performance management of IBVs, identifying and addressing gaps in program implementation, representing the NRC Youth Programme at community gatherings, preparing reports on site activities, and liaising with site operations on stock management.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Youth Officer position should possess a college or diploma degree equivalent, with a minimum of two years of experience in youth programming or education projects, particularly in humanitarian or recovery contexts. Previous team management experience is essential, as is a proven track record of achieving results related to the responsibilities of the position. Familiarity with the challenges of working in complex and volatile environments is also required, along with some knowledge of English to facilitate communication and reporting.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a college or diploma degree equivalent. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the complexities of youth programming and the specific needs of the target population. Experience:
