Job Overview:
The Associate Investment Officer will play a crucial role in supporting the activities of the Clients & Products department, specifically within the Structured Products team. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to innovate and execute complex investments that align with IFC's strategic priorities. The selected candidate will work closely with existing Investment Officers and specialists to develop new financial products and solutions that cater to the needs of emerging markets. The role requires a strong understanding of financial structures and the ability to navigate complex negotiations. The Associate Investment Officer will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients and partners, identifying investment opportunities, and contributing to the overall mission of mobilizing private capital at scale. This position is pivotal in enhancing financial access, sustainability, and efficiency in financial systems across various regions.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Associate Investment Officer will have a diverse range of responsibilities that evolve in line with the strategic priorities of the Clients & Products department. Key duties include: developing innovative financial structures for assigned projects, participating in transaction negotiations, and utilizing advanced financial competencies to drive successful outcomes. The officer will work with senior staff to build a strong pipeline of high-quality investment opportunities, maintain relationships with clients and partners, and evaluate opportunities to enhance social development impacts. Responsibilities also include reviewing company information, preparing financial analyses and reports, collaborating with regional teams, and coordinating with colleagues on social and environmental aspects. The officer will assist in preparing documentation for internal processes, monitor asset performance, and contribute to the research and knowledge management agenda of the department.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in finance, economics, or a related field. An MBA, CPA, or CFA designation is preferred. Additionally, a minimum of five years of relevant experience in emerging markets investment roles is required, with exposure to debt and structured products. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to oversee financial models prepared by analysts and possess a strong understanding of sector drivers and market development cycles. Educational Background:
