Job Overview:
The coordinator" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Finance Coordinator will oversee and manage all accounting and financial services associated with the mission in Myanmar. This role is crucial for ensuring the financial balance of the mission and compliance with Solidarités International procedures, donor requirements, and local laws. The Finance Coordinator serves as the primary point of reference for financial management, accounting, and budget monitoring, acting as a liaison between the mission and headquarters. The position is based in Yangon, where the financial coordination will involve managing multiple bases and ensuring financial sustainability amidst a dynamic donor landscape. The initial priorities for the first two to three months include financial reporting for completed grants, proposal development, and conducting internal financial analyses.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Finance Coordinator will be responsible for directing and coordinating all financial activities within the mission. This includes ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and procedures, preparing financial reports, managing budgets, and overseeing accounting practices. The role involves leading a team of finance staff, providing training and support, and ensuring that financial information is accessible to various stakeholders. The Finance Coordinator will also be tasked with developing budgets for new proposals, conducting monthly financial analyses, and maintaining relationships with donors and partners. Additionally, the position requires regular visits to field offices to ensure financial practices are adhered to across all locations.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and have 3-4 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, specifically in a similar financial management role. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong technical skills in Excel and accounting software, preferably SAGA. They should also have the ability to design and lead budgets in alignment with donor compliance and organizational strategies. Strong financial analytical skills are essential, as the role requires regular financial reporting and analysis.

Educational Background:
A Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field is required for this position. This educational background provides the necessary foundation for understanding complex financial systems and regulations relevant to the humanitarian sector.

Experience:
The position requires 3-4 years of relevant experience in the humanitarian sector, with a focus on financial management. Candidates should have a proven track record in similar roles, demonstrating their ability to manage financial operations effectively in a challenging environment.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory for this position, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization and with donors. Knowledge of any local language spoken in Myanmar is considered an asset, as it can facilitate better communication with local stakeholders and communities.

Additional Notes:
This is a short-term contract position with a duration of 11 months, which is renewable based on performance and funding availability. The role is full-time and based in Yangon, with potential travel to field offices in Mandalay and Sittwe. The compensation package includes a gross monthly salary starting from EUR 2860, a monthly per diem of USD 600, and coverage for accommodation and travel expenses. Expatriates will also benefit from a comprehensive insurance package covering healthcare expenses, including medical, dental, and repatriation costs. The organization implements a work and time-off system, allowing for breaks every three months, along with an additional rest day for each month worked. Living conditions in Yangon are favorable, with access to various amenities and no significant transportation restrictions.
