Job Overview:
The Human Resources Technical Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the HR functions within the organization. The assistant will be responsible for implementing various HR processes, ensuring compliance with NRC policies, and supporting the recruitment and onboarding of new staff. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Human Resources Technical Assistant will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including but not limited to: assisting with recruitment processes, organizing orientation programs for newly recruited staff, tracking leave for all staff, maintaining an overview of contract end dates and extensions, ensuring timely submission of timesheets, filing personnel and administrative documents, supporting line managers in performance management activities, and maintaining updated HR records such as leave, recruitment, onboarding, training, and exits. The assistant will also be responsible for assessing compliance with the Duty of Care Standard and arranging monthly airtime for staff. Additionally, the assistant will support the HR Coordinator in ensuring adequate seating arrangements for all staff and perform any other official duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Organizational Psychology, or a related field. A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a busy HR department within a humanitarian organization is required. Strong spoken and written English skills are essential, along with proficiency in IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, and labor law is crucial. The ability to improvise, take initiative, and follow up effectively is necessary, as well as strong communication and interviewing skills.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or Organizational Psychology. This educational foundation is critical for understanding the complexities of human resources within a humanitarian context and for effectively supporting the HR functions of the organization.

Experience:
The position requires candidates to have at least 2 years of experience working in a busy HR department, preferably within a humanitarian organization. This experience should encompass various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and compliance with HR policies and procedures. Familiarity with the challenges and dynamics of working in humanitarian settings is highly valued.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, both spoken and written, as it is the primary language of communication within the organization. Additional language skills may be considered an asset, particularly if they are relevant to the local context or the populations served by the organization.
